Queenstown-Milford Sound 17th February.

Lots of miles ( By coach and boat).

Took a day trip to Milford Sound on the Western coast of the South Island.  This area is apparently the wettest place in NZ, but not today.  The weather was beautiful, told by driver that this was only the 21st day since the end of October 2016, when there hadn't been some rain in the area. Made up for some of the other grim weather days I have encountered.

Long coach journey, I slept a lot of the way, didn't realise quite how tired I was. Spectacular scenary along the way and on the boat trip around the sound. Numerous waterfalls, pity photos don't do them justice.  Well worth the journey.
Seals(and me) basking in the sun, the only thing to do when on a boat.
