Vietnam

First stop Hanoi, then on to Danang by overnight train before flying down to Ho Chi Minh. I am staying in Hanoi for two nights, based in the old quarter, before embarking on an overnight journey on the renunification express, which I am taking down to Danang the second largest city in South Vietnam. Apparently it was Danang the the Americans chose to launch their invasion into south Vietnam. The story goes that as they stormed the beach in full battle gear, they were greeted be women with garlands of flowers coming to meet them..... That must have been a strange sight. After Danang I fly down to Ho Chi Minh for my final few days in Vietnam
