Started the day with Beignets for breakfast at Cafe Du Mond, the thing to do when in New Orleans. They are a little like doughnuts, covered in icing sugar.
Wondered the French quarter of New Orleans, had a very nice lunch, Muffuletta.
This is a local speciality, a type of club sandwich, quite a feast.
In the evening decided to walk to Frenchman street, just on the edge of the French quarter.
This is an area that is not quite so touristy, but has fabulous blues being played in th bars. Had some dinner watching a gospel, blues band, then went on to see some fantastic street music and blues in the bars.
I really felt this was some of the best music I had ever seen!!!
