I got going after a great breakfast of Oatmeal with apple and cinnamon,monkey bread and breakfast casserole.
All again provided by the women of Merryville ( Renee and Elaine were with us by 6am to serve our food). Very generous of them to take such trouble for us.
Nearly cycled over a snake again.
This one was just basking in the sun on the hard shoulder, about eighteen inches long. Also saw a gang of prison inmates working along the road with an armed guard, not something you would see at home.
