There are some strange road names around here,such a 'gold nugget road', can't quite see that fitting in in Richmond.
First (puncture) or as they say here"flat" of the ride.
Stopped off in a fascinating little bar called Don's Cactus bar, lots of Harley Davidsons around. There was a sign on the door warning not to bring firearms in the bar!!! Must remember to leave my gun at home!!!
Camped along side an orchard of pecan and pistachio trees, not in flower yet.
Warned in camp to watch out for Scorpians and rattlesnakes!!! The gofer that appeared appeared out of a hole by my tent, gave me enough of a start!!! Not sure what I'd do if confronted by a rattlesnake or scorpion.
Beautiful sunset then went to sleep with coyote's howling in the distance!
